I love fashion, and tennis is no exception. When I played varsity tennis in high school and club tennis at college, dressing up was definitely half the fun! Now that I’ve graduated, I still love to play whenever I get a chance. These are some of my dream pieces for a perfect transition from summer to fall, incorporating darker gem tones like navy and maroon with some brighter yellows and whites.
I chose some of my all-time favorite designers for my Memorial Day outfit inspiration. I absolutely love this trending electric blue color, so I wanted to incorporate it into an outfit that’s chic, comfortable and casual. Since Memorial Day is usually spent barbecuing at the lake or hanging out with family, I thought that a neutral maxi paired with detailed accessories would be a fun juxtaposition that appears put-together, but not overstated.
I recently was given a wonderful perspective on how to nurture relationships in my life, and thus wanted to share it with you all. To be with someone, you both need to think of yourselves as two trees growing next to each other. Both trees need equal space so they can both grow in each other’s company. They need equal space because one can be overshadowed and wither away if it’s too close to the other. I was so inspired by this idiom that I wanted to whip up a design to encompass this idea. Thus, here is my little creation. Enjoy!
Chanel has been a classic fashion empire for over a century and never ceases to amaze editors with their classic yet imaginary collections season after season. Thanks to Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel’s couture and ready-to-wear fashion never falls short of innovation, elegance and unsurpassed quality, and the Chanel Resort 2015 collection is no exception. Held in Dubai, this fashion show embodies worldly inspiration with sequins, gilding, earth tones and metallic fabric. The time-honored glamour and style of the middle east is beautifully interpreted by Karl Lagerfeld in these beautifully unique looks. So without further adieu, here are my five favorite looks from the Chanel Resort 2015 collection.
One of my all-time favorite recipes is an easy and delicious apple pie. I find it funny how some people are so intimidated by making apple pie from scratch, when it takes just as long to drive to the store and buy one! I love apple pie because it’s total comfort food that I could never get tired of. So naturally, my unparalleled apple pie recipe is from the Betty Crocker cookbook. If you don’t have the book, this recipe is the same from the Betty Crocker website. Bon Apetit!
Not only is the Cannes Film Festival a highly prestigious celebration of cinematic masterpieces, but it’s also the epicenter of magnificent style. From Chanel to Chopard, every look is awe-inspiring. I wanted to share my top five favorite looks of the festival thus far, which are all very unique yet distinctly gorgeous. Laetitia Casta, Nicole Kidman, Naomi Watts, Zoe Saldana and Blake Lively are donning Dior Haute Couture, Armani Prive, Marchesa, Victoria Beckham and Chanel, respectively. I feel that the gowns this year are so aesthetically pleasing because of their summery hues of blue and white, and they feel like a breath of fresh air. I hope you enjoy the elegance of these dresses as much as I do!
I’ve really been craving earth tones in everything lately! And as an Arizona girl, I’m always on the lookout for warm-weather fashion that’s casual but classy. Thus, I wanted to share some of my wish-list items in these ever-flattering colors. I wanted to make an easy outfit that works around swimwear, in case I’d meet someone for lunch or run errands after the pool. I could easily throw this crisp white sundress over my one-piece, paired with Tory Burch flats and Ray-Bans. I’m also lusting after this Estee Lauder bronzer and Dior Show waterproof mascara, because the quality is unmatched. It’s simple, no-hassle makeup that looks natural and brings out my natural features. Cheers to the weekend!
